DANIELE TOFFOLO studied piano, organ, composition, choral music, and choral conducting with Claudio Raffi, Lino Falilone, Giuseppe Russolo, and Antonio Piani. In 1997, he graduated with honors in organ and organ composition from the “G. Tartini” Conservatory in Trieste.

He perfected his skills by attending academies, courses and seminars on organ interpretation held by Lorenzo Ghielmi, Christopher Stembridge, Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, Michel Bouvard, Louis Robilliard, Daniel Roth, Jan Raas, Stefano Innocenti, Marie-Claire Alain, Roberto Antonello and Massimo Nosetti.

 An accompanist of choral ensembles and orchestral formations, he has been active as an organ soloist since 1995 in concerts, music festivals and festivals, receiving excellent acclaim from critics and the public. He has performed in prestigious venues in Austria, Germany (Hannover, Braunschweig, Hildesheim Cathedral), France (La Fontenelle, Dinard and Pontmain as part of the “Langlais Festival” in Brittany) and in Italy (Genoa, Florence, Padua, Bologna, Rovigo, Venice, Treviso, Brindisi, Belluno, Trieste, Verona, Vicenza, Gorizia, Udine, Basilica of Aquileia, International Organ Festival of Selva di Fasano, International Organ Festival of Treviso, International Concert Festival “Historical Organs of the Vicenza Area”, Concert Season at the Frari-Venice, Musical September in the Cathedral of Trieste, “Wednesdays of the Conservatory” of Trieste, “Music in the Agordino”, International Festival “Voices and Organs of the Apennines”, International Organ Festival “City of Fossalta”, International Festival “Cantabilis Harmonia”, “Organ Evenings in S. Quirino-Udine”, Festival “Ancient Organs of the Polesine”, Season Concerts at the Monfalcone Theatre). He is often invited to perform concerts for the inauguration of new organs and on the occasion of the restoration of historical instruments.

A frequent member of the jury in national and international organ and organ composition competitions, he has received several awards in his career as a composer, including 1st prize (a cappella motets section) at the 1st Composition Competition for the Liturgy in Bagheria (Palermo) in 2010, 3rd prize (first not awarded) at the 1st Composition Competition organized by the Italian Federation of Pueri Cantores in 2008 and a special mention in the 2012 edition, 3rd prize at the 1st “Vittorio e Vinicio Carrara” Composition Competition in Bergamo in 2016 and 4th place in the 2017 edition.

He has made several recordings: “Artistic Organs in Eastern Veneto” (Rainbow Classic), “Hammond Plays Bach” (the first recording of Bach’s organ compositions in their original version on a Hammond organ), “The Organ of the Abbey of Sesto al Reghena,” “GB Cossetti and Cecilian Music” (Altoliventina Editrice), “Zanin Portable Liturgical Organ” (HvF), and “Organ of the Cathedral of Concordia Sagittaria” (HvF). His compositions have been published by Edizioni Carrara of Bergamo and Armelin Musica of Padua.

A member of the Sacred Art Commission of the Diocese of Concordia-Pordenone, he holds the position of responsible for the organ sector.                                             

He also deals with issues inherent in modern organ building, collaborating on the sound design of new instruments: among the most significant projects are the organ of the Cathedral of Concordia Sagittaria (II/36, mechanical transmission) and the organ of the Church of “S. Maria Assunta” in Bibione (III/51, electric transmission).

He teaches organ, piano, and theoretical subjects at various musical institutions in the Pordenone area and Eastern Veneto.

Since 1998 he has held the role of titular organist of the “S. Stefano” Cathedral of Concordia Sagittaria (VE).
